Leaked pictures of a rumored Windows Phone 7 from Sony Ericsson appeared on a Chinese blog that sparked rumors about the handset. The rumored device will most possibly be called Sony Ericsson Xperia X7, a slide-out QWERTY handset running on Microsoft OS. The OS might have caught your attention as Sony Ericsson has been a keen believer of the Android environment in the recent past.

We saw the mobile maker shifting its preference from Symbain OS towards Google’s Android operating system and now with the leaked images of the new Sony handset we are quite sure that Sony still has good working relationship with Microsoft as stated by Nathan Vautier, MD, Sony Ericsson UK.

The handset in question has Sony’s signature human curvature design and comes with a 4.3-inch WVGA capacitive display. The phone is powered by a 1.2 Ghz Qualcomm processor and comes with an 8.1-MP camera that can shoot 720p HD videos.

The other features of rumored Sony Xperia X7 Windows 7 handset include an HDMI output port, Dolby Digital Plus Surround, HSPA+ connectivity and an integrated GPU. If the leaked images of the new Sony handset are not just cancelled prototype of the phone and if Sony is really thinking to launch a Windows 7 mobile phone, then the world most possibly will see an all-rounder phone that serves both consumers and business clients with a powerhouse of hardware and features at par with the top business phones.
